Music at Bethel
Dueling Pianos
Maureen Zoltek and Jeffrey Panko
Monday, September 29 at 7:30 pm
Music at Bethel celebrates ten years of performances with a new series title and an opening night concert showcasing “Dueling Pianos”, inspired by one of our most popular concerts from past seasons. Pianists Maureen Zoltek and Music at Bethel’s Artistic Director Jeffrey Panko will perform works composed for two pianos and four hands, including the beloved Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saëns, Chopin’s Rondo, and the Porgy and Bess Fantasy by Percy Grainger, which was inspired by Gershwin’s famous opera. This concert will be dedicated to the memory of Diana Nicholas, our good friend and long time supporter of Music at Bethel, whose love of the arts and of life will always be remembered.

Ms. Bunnell’s long association with the Met as ensemble member, recording artist and performer on the Metropolitan Opera Presents television broadcasts has led her to performances throughout the world in both the operatic and concert platforms. Mr. Embree has received critical acclaim for his performances on stage and in television broadcasts of operatic productions and musical theater both in the United States and abroad, and he has recorded extensively.
