Christian Education Information

Christian Education has always been a vital part of Bethel's history and ministry.  In a world that is increasingly difficult for our youth, we believe it is important that our children are given every opportunity to develop as well as integrate both knowledge and faith.  This is a primary goal of our curriculum.

Little ones in "PARABLE PRESCHOOL" are sure to enjoy this year's curriculum based on "God's Alphabet."  Each Sunday they will be focusing on something in God's world starting with each letter of the alphabet.

Our curriculum has been designed to fulfill our commitment to the following
goals.

CURRICULUM GOALS

*  To develop an understanding of God's love for all people.

*  To build a familiarity with the Bible and an openness to God's Word.

*  To encourage Christian faith development, a sense of connection with the church community,  and provide a basis for responsible action.

*  To create an atmosphere of excitement and a strong desire for continued participation.

*  To provide a continuity through the involvement of all ages and the support of the entire congregation.

     Our rotation curriculum will be based upon the theme:  "ALL IN GOD'S CARE...." for the 2001-2002 Sunday School Year. The units will include:

*  Joseph
*  David
*  The World Sings Noel "Christmas Celebration"
*  Isaiah
*  Women of the New Testament
*  Jesus-The Early Years

Summer Sunday School 2002  Praise, Prayer & Thanks

 In addition to the rotation we will have three "Love in Action"  Sundays in which the children will work together on a mission project for others in need.
